About mediation

Simply put, mediation is a method of out-of-court agreements. Mediation is a process in which the parties have a chance to come to a satisfactory resolution of the dispute, without escalating the conflict, in a friendly atmosphere and on neutral ground, in the presence and with the help of an impartial and professional mediator.

The Tri-City mediation center deals mainly with family, civil, business and employee mediation, but it also mediates other problems (e.g. neighborhood disputes, peer disputes).

E-Mediation

The Tri-City Mediation Center offers e-mediation, i.e. electronic mediation. On-line mediation proceedings are carried out via e-mail, telephone or video conferencing.

It is reasonable to use e-mediation when it is difficult for the parties to participate in meetings with the mediator, e.g. due to living outside of Poland.
Importantly, apart from the form of conducting the proceedings, e-mediation does not differ from traditional mediation, above all, it is characterized by the basic principles of mediation, such as: voluntariness, confidentiality, neutrality, indisputability. The subject of e-mediation may be cases that are already pending, but also cases at the pre-trial stage.

If the parties reach an agreement, e-mediation ends with a settlement that has the same power as a settlement concluded after mediation by the traditional method.
